Flexibility of communal spaces of the Osing Settlements in Kemiren Tourism Village, Banyuwangi

<p>The Osing is one of the tribes in Banyuwangi, with nomadic life history. Since conditions change after war against invaders, this tribe has lived permanently. One which Kemiren Village. Owing to maintaining its cultural heritage, Village was established as a tourism village 1996. Through establishment, society uses existing spaces around space for community activities socialize and do activities. The study aims evaluate spatial flexibility an implementation sustainable village’s concept. An ethnographic strategy approached from macro perspective see impact changes social on use village, particularly streets. results revealed that Tourism had developed potential by utilizing streets attractions. According principles, four types happened these Village, such adaptable, universal, movable, responsive flexibility.</p>
